I have always enjoyed exploring simple forms that are defined by the intersection of straight lines. My challenge has been to present these forms, both classic and original, in a way that evokes a response and at least suggests functionality.  I prefer to use wood because of its universal appeal and endless variations. Often I will incorporate aluminum and weathered metals into the fine craft pieces I make as a way of complementing and drawing attention to the basic forms.
